It is anybody’s dream to interact and watch a world cup tournament, for Lwanga Charles and Abukar Musa Mwiteneza the golden opportunity couldn’t have come at a better time, reports Peter Tabu.

The two who were chosen after a successful, fair talent search to determine who will fly Uganda’s flag at the Football for Friendship programme will compete with 11 other African countries and a total of over 200 other kids from various continents will then participate in various tasks. Uganda has been represented by a young coach in Lwanga Charles (16 years) and an aspiring young journalist Abukar Musa Mwiteneza who is just 12 years.

The Football for Friendship programme which is funded by Gazprom, a leading petroleum company in the world will take place from the 8th till the 15th June in the Russian capital Moscow, all participants will also have the opportunity to watch the opening match of the 2018 World Cup.

Uganda is pooled in the Magellanic Penguin pool along with Chad, Mozambique, Tahiti, Bermuda, Republic Of Ireland and New Zealand.
