She was well-known across the pond, but sadly, many of us who are not social animals will only get to know her name following her sudden demise.
She was recently diagnosed with meningitis which damaged her brain. Meningitis is an inflammation of the meninges caused by viral or bacterial infection and marked by intense headache and fever, sensitivity to light, and muscular rigidity, leading (in severe cases) to convulsions, delirium, and eventually death.
Lukisha was a daughter of Mzee Bachu, one of the best known motor vehicle mechanics in Kabale and Kigezi region. Her elder sister Nikita Bachu is another Kampala bar socialite.
Known for her exploits on the nightspot scene, she was cohabiting with failed R&B singer Allan Tonix at 22 with the union dissolving later on. Lukisha left Tonix for a loaded city car dealer called Emmanuel Namanya aka Emmy but their affair did not last as well. She remarried, and she leaves behind her husband Roy Taban and their one child.
