SHOCKER! Museveni abandons Uhuru Kenyatta at Kampala alcohol party

An impeachable State House source has told TheUgandan about they what is described as an “awkward” encounter between President Museveni and his Kenyan counterpart, His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta Saturday evening

By press time, Mr Kenyatta had been seen off from State House, Entebbe headed to Kampala Serena Hotel for the annual diplomats black-tie dinner.

We’re told according to the social event’s programmer, Museveni had been expected to preside over the ball with his guest President Uhuru but it will not be possible.

Our source focused on Kenyatta’s brief appearance at State House and said the Kenyan leader was baffled by the fact that his host had not extended his hospitality to the party which is known to flow with all tribes of alcohol and women as earlier informed.

”Sorry, I do not drink alcohol and I have a lot of meetings with NRM cadres to chair this evening,” President Museveni could have told his Uhuru Kenyatta.

At the Serena, Victoria Hall Conference Centre party, 44 High Commissioners and Ambassadors, thirty two Honorary Consuls and twenty-Eight International Organizations followed around by their staff and paparazzi – — Uhuru is going to be the single centre of attention after the unexpected Museveni snub. Proceeds from this event, hosted by the diplomatic corps, go to the Uganda Cancer Institute, Mulago.

There are rumors that President Uhuru is a big drinker. He always just seemed to find his way around alcohol which is completely opposite of his host today, President Museveni is known to be sober 24/7 and has done well to keep his children and confidents off the bitter.

For some reason Uhuru has been a tireless ambassador in an effort to to encourage philanthropy allover East Africa. It just all takes on new meaning.

Without saying it Museveni has made it pretty clear … prefers dishing out brown envelopes to NRM cadres.
