The franchise holders have guaranteed that there will be no compromises made, in terms of service delivery, taste and quality of its pizzas.
Pizza Hut, the world’s largest pizza brand, has created over 70 jobs, opening their fourth store in Kampala at Italian Supermarket in Muyenga towards the end of last week.
Pizza Hut Restaurants has been a firm favourite in Kampala for the past year but plans to take the brand forward by aggressively expanding further this year. Pizza Hut is an American restaurant chain and international franchise, known for Italian-American cuisine, including pizza and pasta, as well as side dishes and desserts.
Speaking at the inauguration, Nisha Namara Rurangirwa a co-director in charge of marketing in Pizza Hut’s Uganda franchise says the new store in Muyenga was receiving good response, with Kampalans calling the restaurateur to provide more outlets for the growing demand.
“Our newest outlet is booming just like the ones opened last year,” Ms. Namara said. “The outlet received an overwhelming response from netizens on social media as well with great audience and many shares when we shared about our pizzas online.”
Hundreds of million shillings were invested in this new outlet.
The handpicked menu presents an eclectic choice of international and local delights and tantalizing aromas tempt you to taste divinity on a plate.
Namara believes that better ingredients make better pizzas, with no compromises to the freshness of the dough, high quality ingredients and superior quality toppings combined with fresh cut vegetables in the kitchen, daily. Pizza Hut’s offers pizza lovers a warm, comfortable, relaxed and welcoming dining experience. The consumers will enjoy an out-of-the-ordinary, excellent pizza dining experience.
According to Ms. Namara, the Pizza Hut Ugandan franchise’s biggest challenge was to finding supply chain partners who can meet the food safety and quality standards of the brand but that has been solved as well.
“The Ugandan market is growing and provides immense opportunities for multi-national chains in the country. Our other outlets in Kampala are doing extremely well and with this opening, we are trying to consolidate our position. We are certain that the outlet is going to be well-received by our Patrons who love the Pizza Hut experience.”
Ms Namara said it was a better atmosphere so a lot of people appreciate it.
“Because it is a bigger restaurant and we have more equipment there, the customers love it already.” “Now that we are fully operational a lot of corporate customers within Muyenga, Kabalagala and Bunga areas are starting to come and it’s a good area and away from the busy town.”
In the future Ms Namara said alongside her co-directors like city billionaire Bob Kabonero, they have plans to open new outlets towards the Kyambogo University area, in the west that is Banda town and maybe at one point and they would look to expand across the city over the coming years in Mbarara, Gulu, Jinja, Mbale and Fort Portal.
“We are constantly looking for great, visible, convenient locations and hope to add another restaurant in 2017 when we find the right landlord partners especially within Nakawa Division.”
She added: “Government has been helpful in many ways, we have significant financial investments in place and big plans to expand the business over time.
