Namuli Precious Priscilla had never competed in a pageant before until she won the 2018 Miss Victoria University Kampala Beauty Pageant.
Precious, a Foundation Program student competed and won the 2nd-annual pageant hosted by the University’s student guild at Kabira Country Club on April 28.
“I promised myself that in college I wanted to become a better version of myself,” Precious said who was also declared Miss Popularity. “I realized I can do anything I put my mind to, and putting that thought in my head led me to be in the pageant.”
Namuli was rewarded with a generous gift hamper from Victoria University of wine, chocolates and university shirt, and a cheque of ugx. 500,000 plus a gift hamper from Radiant
The 1st runner up was South Sudanese student Akuol Zakaria Deng also Foundation Program while Napeyok Ursula Joan a student of Tourism and Hotel Management was voted 2nd runner up and Miss Creativity. Both walked away with gift hampers and cheques from the university.
The theme of this year’s pageant was “‘Superwoman: The future is female,” a spinoff of the song “The Future is Female by Madame Gandhi.”
Former Miss Uganda 2014, Leah Kalanguka and actress Diana Kahunde were among the judges of the pageant sponsored by Radiant.
