Parliament pays tribute to fallen Ruhaama MP, William Zinkuratiire who passed away in Nsambya hospital on Saturday after a long battle with Hepatitis B virus.

Beijukye was elected Ruhama county MP in February 2016 under the National Resistance Movement (NRM) ticket. He replaced the First Lady Janet Museveni who held the seat in the 8th and 9th parliaments.

He will be buried this week Kakururu in Rweikiniro Sub County in Ntungamo district.

Beijukye becomes the fourth legislator to die this year.

In July, Iganga District woman MP Grace Hailat Kaudha Magumba died after suffering pregnancy-related complications.

Moroto woman MP Annie Logiel died in February after undergoing brain surgery in Sweden. Just a month later, Toroma County MP Cyrus Amodoi Imalingat was among 10 people who perished in motor accident along the Kampala-Jinja highway.
