JAMES BOND OKELLO: Going for Sheebah’s concert, here are some safety tips
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Everyman’s crush Sheebah Karungi’s maiden concert to be held tonight at Hotel African parking lot.

Going to such a concert can be a lot of fun, but it can also be dangerous. With several other concerts planned for this December and several top international artists set to jet in, learning how to be safe will ensure that you have a great experience.

Kindly, follow these tips, if you want to be safe;

  • Look for security: Security Officers will always keep watch but take a moment to scope out the area and find the nearest security officer, just in case.
  • Conceal your money: You are at the risk of getting mugged on the way to/from the concert as well as when you’re there, so be sure to hide your money. Consider putting it in your front pocket, your shoe, or another place that makes it harder to steal. Also, avoid flashing your money or phone around. If people see you with large sums of money or an expensive phone, you could become a target.
  • Go with friends: This is an important safety tip, since there’s safety in numbers. Attend the concert with at least one friend.
  • Pay attention to shady guys: If someone seems strange, keep an eye on them. Watch out for guys who wear dark shades at night and those who cover their faces with caps. If someone offers you any substances, just say no, and try not to make a big deal about it unless they do. If they persist, report them to security.

Lastly, wear modest clothing, don’t do anything stupid. Never go with someone you don’t know, even if they seem nice. If you need help, go to security….

Have fun!
