The opposition Forum for Democratic Change party has partnered with the Citizen’s Relief Initiative (CRI), a civil society organisation, to mobilise relief for the needy people across the country.
The function is at POWESA offices along kabaka anjagala road next to Bulange Mengo where CRI also launched its food stores.

The 2016 drought affected food production triggering food shortages in many parts of Uganda and the region.
The government estimates that 13 million people are in need of food relief.
