The Rangers Limited has named a new country manager for the Ugandan operations of its sports entertainment and gaming platform Betway.
Ms. Adellah Agaba who replaces Englishman Anton Opperman will be responsible for leading the British company’s business in Uganda across several segments, driving the company’s strategy and overall growth.
The Uganda Christian University trained lawyer (majoring in Oil and Gas essentials) will now as a Country Manager will oversee a team of close to 50 employees, which includes marketing and PR, call centre and a sports development team together with whom they ensure they offer a superior and competitive betting platform.
Agaba joined Betway Uganda two years ago and since then served as a PR manager. Prior to joining Betway, she held senior executive roles at Uganda Debt Network and is a panelist on the Radio One Saturday afternoon sports analysis show “The Locker Room”.
Speaking about her latest promotion, Ms Agaba said: “I want to take this opportunity to thank God for always humbling me with his favor and provision, everyone that has had a hand in this journey, thank you. The new challenge we take it on together, and I pray for support and love as we start the new year.”
Betway spends billions of shillings willfully in giving back to its customers with sponsorship at Kobs (rugby), Power (basketball) and Onduparaka (football) clubs besides powering the national boxing team before the 2017 African Boxing Championship.
