Mrs. Barbie Itungo Kyagulanyi, wife to Robert Kagulanyi also known as Bobi Wine the MP Kyadondo East and his sisters and brothers led by Fred Nyanzi are camping at Nagalama police station where he is being detained, witnesses said.

Bobi Wine and two other members of parliament were earlier on Wednesday picked by police from the plenary session, and taken to Nagalama in Wakiso District for being involved in acts of violence inside Parliament over a heated presidential age limit motion.

However, Barbie entered and talked to her husband who is being held with Allan Ssewanyana with another MP whom she describes as an MP from West Nile who TheUgandan believes is Hon. Odonga Otto.

She however says that police has assured her that she might not go back with her husband this night.

Bobi Wine was arrested for being involved in acts of violence inside Parliament over a heated presidential age limit motion.

According to speaker Kadaga, the actions of the MPs had brought the lawmaking chamber into disrepute. They are to be suspended for the next three sittings.

Meanwhile, after the 25 were forced out, the opposition bloc has left the chamber and the controversial motion has subsequently been moved. It was adopted at the end of Tuesday’s chaotic proceeding.

The motion has since been seconded paving the way for a private members’ bill on presidential age limit to pass.

The age limit motion is largely seen as a piece of legislation seeking to allow incumbent President Yoweri Museveni to stay in power. The 73-year-old will be ineligible to stand by 2022 when next polls are held.
