Zambia lost its opening Group B at home to Nigeria a fortnight ago

Former African champions Zambia will be in Uganda for a three-day camping before travelling to West Africa for their second 2018 World Cup qualifier against Cameroon.

The South Africans arrive in Kampala on Monday 7th November and will face Uganda Cranes in an international friendly match at Namboole Stadium a day later.

In their last competitive outing, Uganda lost to Zambia on January 23, during a 2016 African Nations Championship (CHAN) Group D clash. Zambia had their captain and former Africa Cup of Nations winner, Christopher Katongo, to thank for their victory after he scored just before the break.

The Cranes, who held Ghana to a goalless draw in their first tie of the campaign in Tamale last month, will be looking to register all three points against Congo Brazzaville (November 12th) in front of the home fans.

Chipolopolo have in the past experienced chaotic travel arrangements when going for important assignments but a refresher trip in Uganda will cut the journey short.

Zambia lost its opening Group B at home to Nigeria a fortnight ago.

Uganda Coach Milutin Sredojevic is also expected to name Cranes squad for both matches on Wednesday.
