Uganda may have beaten 1-0 Congo-Brazzaville in an almost empty Namboole Stadium – just – but how did the players get on in Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic 72nd game in charge?
In the World Cup qualifier, the visitors proved extremely resolute, even when they had veteran defender, Christopher Samba, Bastia sharp striker Thievy Guivane Bifouma Koulossa and first choice goalkeeper Gildas Mouyabi missing.
But the Cranes were guilty of some poor showings as they failed to break down their opponents for over 70 minutes all that wastage after when Faruku Miya had popped up to bury the ball into the back of the net in the 19th minute to send Uganda top of Group E. Giants Egypt and Ghana face off on Sunday in Alexanderia to rearrange the table.
So how did we rate the players?
Robert Odongkara 3/5: Made a couple of dodgy goal kicks that were not the best of his evening, but was rarely trouble.
Hassan Wasswa 3.5/5 : Vey strong in the air throughout the game and dealt with most things competently.
Isaac Isinde 2.5/5: Was rash but generally fine at the back alongside Hassan Wasswa.

Nicholas Wadada 2.5/5: Had a nervous first half but made it up in the second half.
Murushid Juuko 2.5/5: Forced off early a head injury after the Simba center half collided with Dore Ferebory.
Tony Mawejje 2.5/5 : Looked lost at time though made a couple of decent interceptions but didn’t have much today, especially when Congo-Brazzaville were on a counterattack. Was later substituted for America based Mike Azira.
Joseph Ochaya 3/5: Was unreliable defensively for instance receiving plenty of problems from N Dockyt Mesou who occasionally utilized Ochaya’s space while marauding forward from left back but did his best in attack.
Khalid Aucho 2.5/5: Showed glimpses of talent but lacked consistency. Didn’t know whether to stay with Tony Mawejje or push forward as a box-to-box midfielder.
Moses Oloya 3/5: Kept the team together with his passing but didn’t manage to get forward enough.
Faruku Miya 3.5/5: Got the winning goal but the full performance was nothing special from the Standard Leige man. Lively, but must improve his end product.
Luwagga Kizito 2.5/5: Had a couple of flashes of brilliance yet faded into irrelevance.
Geoffrey Massa 2/5: Could have done better with a chance late in the game but his poor positioning saw him waste more chances.
Mike Azira 3/5: Didn’t spend much time on the pitch but did well to get a couple of shots in.
Godfrey Walusmbi 2/5: Was brought on to add pace and goal threat but instead had a few shaky moments on the left flank while backtracking.
