When she was younger, Iryn Namubiru’s first major attempt at success in the music industry came in 1995. The road to this success officially set off in 2006 when she released her album Nkuweeki? Between 2006 and 2011, She registered great success especially the latter where she won awards, the best being Artist of the Year and Female Artist of the Year award in the Pearl of Africa Music awards.

The multitalented Diva’s fans had to wait until yesterday to get a piece of her when she hit the stage at the Kampala Serena Hotel. Riding on the theme, ‘One Night Only’, the singer sent revelers squealing in delight when she got on stage at 9:30pm.

The ‘One Night Only’ concert went down successfully and fans enjoyed the best of live music performance from the “Nsonyiwa” vocalist.

Namubiru kicked things off with the song, ”Nkuweki?”and kept gears heated up with an impressive repertoire of songs including “Kwagalanyo, birwowozo, among others.

Rising artiste, Kenneth Mugabi took the stage during Namubiru’s break to perform, “Naki”.

Namubiru later returned to the stage more energized and treated the audience to more of her old and new music which hundreds sang along and danced too all through the evening.

One of the major highlights of the night was when The Katikiro (Prime Minister of Buganda Kingdom) Charles Peter Mayiga picked interest and graced the event because of his love for soulful music.

Other than living to its billing, the event powered by Bell Lager attracted big names in show biz, such as Rema Namakula, Irene Ntale, Halimah Namakula, Dr. Hilda Man, Mo Roots, Queen of the runway Aamito Lagum among others.
