Value based banking is what Ugandans deserve

This year GABV is celebrating ten years of successful work in supporting human needs, not individual greed.  The article is in line with the 10 year celebration of the alliance’s existence and the contribution of the close to 60 banks globally that are members to the alliance.
 
The Global Alliance for Banking on Values (GABV) is a network of banking leaders from around the world committed to advancing positive change in the banking sector. Through a banking system that it is more transparent, GABV champion’s value based banking principles with the sole purpose of serving the real economy in which these banks operate. 
 
Value based banking is as a systematic banking platform which offers transparent, social, economic, and environmental sustainability approaches to banking, championed by Global Alliance on Banking Values (GABV) through partnerships with banking institutions to offer diverse opportunities to harness development.
 
In Uganda, Centenary Bank is currently the only member Bank of this Alliance drawing from it’s mission to provide appropriate financial services, especially microfinance, to all people in a sustainable manner and in accordance with the law.

Profitable and growing, the Global Alliance comprises of close to 60* financial institutions and seven strategic partners operating in countries across Asia, Africa, Australia, Latin America, North America, and Europe. Collectively we serve close to 50 million customers, hold up to $163.4 billion USD of combined assets under management, and are supported by close to 60,000 co-workers.
