The General Court Martial chaired by Lt. Gen. Andrew Guti (pictured above) has dismissed Private Raphael Ollinga from the Uganda Peoples Defense Forces for defiling a girl while in Somalia.
Yesterday, Priv. Ollinga was dishonourably discharged after prosecution proved beyond reasonable doubt that he (Ollinga) had sexual intercourse with the victim (name withheld) while in a mission area in Somalia. Prosecution says that on September 19, 2015, while at Jameco AMISOM detach, Ollinga had carnal knowledge of the victim, who was at the time grazing goats nearby. She identified the accused because the incident happened around midday, disclosed prosecutor Maj. Raphael Mugisha.
Guti said the act of chasing young girls and have carnal knowledge of them is bestiality. “You were deployed to guard the people against terrorists, but did the contrary so the court has dismissed you from the army and if you go back to your village and you start the same thing you will be arrested again,” he warned Ollinga while passing the sentence.
