Away from the confusion and chaos at Kyadondo East by-election, the Public Relations Association of Uganda (PRAU) has today kicked off its 2nd PRAU BOOT CAMP until Saturday 1st July 2017 at the Sanctum Hotel in Entebbe.

The first one was held in 2015.

Over 60 Locally and regionally experienced  PR and communications professionals will be trained on how to Thrive In A World of Digital Media; The Art of Public Relations Strategy; Planning & Execution; Internal & External Stakeholder Management and How to Prepare & Survive a PR Crisis.

“The PRAU BOOT CAMP helps us to relearn the basics and essentials of the trade in order to scale their careers and businesses,” Cynthia Mpanga, the President of PRAU said before Sheila Kangwagye, the Secretary General jumped into to say, “It helps us to learn in a professional setting how to continuously ascribe to global standards and keep up to date with the latest trends in the PR industry, something many employers have been asking us to do.”

Amongst the trainers is one of the regional representatives of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) Ann Gichuhi from Makini College in Nairobi, Kenya who will make a special presentation on the growing need for professional accreditation by the globally recognized PR body.
