The Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Limited (UETCL) is to construct a ward for Nabweru Health Centre III located in Nabweru sub-county.

This has been revealed by the UETCL chairman Mr. Peter Ucanda while officiating at a function where UETCL was handing over some medical equipment to the hospital and provided with solar equipment to cut on the monthly electricity bills at a cost of 30 Million Shillings.

Currently, the hospital only has one ward which accommodates both male and female patients.

Ucanda said the construction of the ward is to commence in the next financial year adding that the boost to Nabweru Health Centre III is part of the UETCL corporate social responsibility to promote quality health care in UETCL areas.

He added that UETCL saw a need to rehabilitate the Health Centre so as to provide quality health care to the people of Nabweru and its neighbors.

UETCL has renovated the health facility and provided essential medical supplies and equipment, as part of its corporate social responsibility to promote quality health care in UETCL projects.
