Hood Katuramu and Wilson Norkrach have been re-elected as Members of Parliament (MP) to represent Persons with Disabilities from Western and Northern region respectively.
In the results that were announced by Apollo Musinguzi the Returning Officer for by-elections of Representatives of PWDs in Parliament 2017, the two won with 30% and 26% apiece.
Katuramu and Norkrach were in May thrown out of parliament after the Appeal court led by Justice Remmy Kasule with assistance of Elizabeth Musoke and Catherine Bamugemereire ruled that the duo had participated in voter bribery.
The Court of Appeal, on that basis, ordered the Electoral Commission to organize fresh elections to fill the vacant posts and awarded costs to the petitioners.
