The Uganda Revenue Authority Commissioner General, Doris Akol, has reshuffled her top most management in a move meant to boost efficiency at the tax body and take it back to the glorious days.
In a staff memo sent to all URA employees on Friday morning, Ms Akol made various changes to her management.
It is not yet clear, whether the untimely reshuffle is in any way connected to the Shs6bn presidential handshake from the oil cases.

But URA Manager Public and Corporate Affairs, Ian Rumanyika, said the reshuffle was normal and nowhere related to the purported ‘handshake’.

Ms Robinah Nakakawa, has been moved from Large Taxpayer Office to Service Management.

Mr Sirajji Kanyesigye from Compliance Management to  Large Taxpayer office.

Ms Irene K Bashabe moved from Tax Investigations to Compliance Management

Mr Mathew Mugabi from Executive Assistant to Commissioner General goes to Tax investigations.

Ms Sarah Banage who has been Assistant Commissioner Public and Corporate Affairs is now the Executive Assistant to the Commissioner General.

Vincent Seruma from Assistant Commissioner (AC) Human Resources to Assistant Commissioner Public and Corporate Affairs.

Mr William Kiganda from Process Management to Human Resources

Mr James Odong has been transferred from Service Management to Process Management.

Mr Joseph Mwangala from the Customs Audit to Internal Audit

Joseph Oketcho moved to Customs Audit

A number of managers at the tax body have been moved to various departments by the URA strong lady.
