brainchild Burson-Marsteller, Uganda’s most awarded public relations agency, has rebranded to brainchild BCW (Burson Cohn & Wolfe), embracing the identity of BCW, the world’s third largest full-service, global communications agency and Africa’s largest PR network.
The change in name comes on the back of the 2018 global merger of Burson-Marsteller and Cohn & Wolfe, which combined Cohn & Wolfe’s expertise in digitally driven, creative content and integrated communications – across the consumer, healthcare and technology sectors – with Burson-Marsteller’s strength in public affairs, corporate and crisis management, technology and research.
Announcing the new brand today, Mr. Walter Wafula, Business Unit Head-PR, brainchild BCW said, “As partners within the BCW Africa network, we are pleased to represent BCW, true innovators in integrated communications that drive transformational change for clients,” he said. “Under the BCW brand we will even better deliver captivating brand campaigns and inventive experiences to Ugandan companies looking for full-service integrated communications capabilities,” Wafula added.
Robyn de Villiers, chair and CEO, BCW Africa, commented: “I am delighted for brainchild BCW to continue its partnership with us. This is a tangible re-affirmation of the company’s commitment to our long-term partnership and to the BCW Africa network, which delivers globally sound and locally relevant communications services to African and international clients across 52 markets on the continent.”
Last year, BCW Africa was named the African Network of the Year for the third successive year at South Africa’s PRISM Awards while Cohn & Wolfe was awarded the Global Agency of the Year by the Holmes Report at the Global SABRE Awards. On the same winning front, brainchild BCW was awarded the Best Specialist Digital Communications firm in Uganda by Acquisition International (AI) Global Excellence Awards. The awards honour the best firms in their industries.
