Another member of the powerful Uganda Peoples Defence Force General Court Martial (GCM) panel has died

Capt. Tom Amee,  collapsed at his home in the barracks in Bombo two days ago and he was transferred to Nakasero Hospital where he breathed his last, according to Maj. John Bizimana, the Registrar of the seven man panel of the Makindye based Military court.

His burial arrangements are yet to be communicated but his body has been transferred to Bombo Military hospital morgue pending postmortem.

Capt. Amee, whose cause of death is yet unknown is the second member of the army court to die in less than one year after the Chairman of the GCM, Maj Gen. Levi Karuhanga died after he returned from India where he had been taken for treatment in April 2016.

In Bombo barracks, the senior Captain was staying alone and went almost 48 hours without answering his telephone calls which alarmed his wife who to run to his home and only find him struggling for his life.
