Am sorry, Mumbere speaks out as his diabetic condition worsen

Omusinga Charles Wesley Mumbere, currently being held at Nalufenya Police Station in Jinja district has offered support and sympathy to the families of those killed and arrested.

“I express my solidarity at this sad time when families have been affected by tragedy,” he said in a message passed on by Rwenzururu queen, Nyabaghole Agnes Ithungu, has called for an end to violence.

She visited her husband on Monday evening and told journalists that the king may need to see a doctor for his diabetic condition. She added that Mumbere complained of the sleeping conditions as being unfavourable for his health.

The queen was accompanied by legislators from Kasese district who also condemned the attacks.

These include Atkins Katusabe for Bukonzo West, William Nzoghu for Busongora North, Kasese Municipality MP Centenary Robert and his Bukonzo East counterpart Harold Muhindo.
