We all saw the way that Usain Bolt almost effortlessly won Gold, while smiling for the cameras on the way to the finish line. How would it be if you did the same in your life challenges? How do you keep succeeding under the tremendous amount of pressure? .
The picture below shows how you could do it.
Take a moment and imagine: what if you could only through a hardship, a problem, a sickness, any challenge?
In fact, try it now, smile. I am sure as you read this you have that challenge that is bugging and keeping you tensing at this moment or a few minutes ago before you started reading this blog.
So relax the left side of your face, and smile — really, really smile — with the right side. Imagine you’ve just heard something hilarious, or wonderful. Show some teeth! But only on the right side. You might want to put a hand on your left cheek to make sure you’re not moving any muscles there.
Do you know that if we all just did what made us smile, we’d inherently help each other without even trying. Without forcing it down people’s throats (which never works and only leaves you feeling scummy).
See, Bolt hardly even broke a sweat in his 100m heat on Saturday, thereafter came Sunday’s semifinal, which he won so easily he was even able to crack an enormous grin before he even got close to the finish line. In case you actually saw the race, mister Bolt didn’t really have a good start. What does that tell you about life?
It is not in the still calm of life, or the repose of a pacific station, that great characters are formed. The habits of a vigorous mind are formed in contending with difficulties. -Abigail Adams
With every battle in life we can choose to focus on the sceptics, those who failed before us, the odds, the naysayers, those who want what we have, the ones who are making it hard for us to have what we want, and just smile our way through all it.
Because by letting that fade away every little glimmer of hope that may have driven us to do the impossible, we are letting them win. Bolt with all the energy and power he was pushing to the finish line, he effortly smiled while Chijindu Ujah and De Grasse chased him for the gold.
It’s common knowledge that when you are suffering or taking a task, there has to be an aspect of seriousness while you are at it, but Bolts tell us you can smile through your difficulties, through your pain, though anything even when you have a number of guys running for the same gold.
Life’s all about staying ahead of the game while keeping a smile on your face no matter the weather you have to whether it, keep smiling or keep smile bolting maybe keep bolt smiling .
Remember that
“Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all.” – Hellen Keller.
If you want to save the world, just do what makes you smile more.
