The Ministry of Tourism has called for collaboration with the private sector to maximize the country’s tourism potential.

Opening a consultative meeting on the National Tourism Marketing Strategy in Kampala, Tourism Minister Prof Ephraim Kamuntu said Uganda has an exceptional range of natural and cultural tourism assets which largely remain untapped.

Some of the challenges he cites include poor branding and inadequate marketing.

Kamuntu says there is need to work together to address these challenges undermining exploitation of the country’s tourism potential.
