Although the police now know who the prime suspect is, they have moved to arrest him but couldn’t find him in the places where they expected him.
The Kampala Metropolitan Police deputy spokesman, Mr Paul Kangave, said that after gathering enough evidence to ascertain who the prime suspect is, they have not yet arrested him.
According to the police, the suspect is a top engineering professional although they did not reveal his name or any further details.
Meanwhile, the house broker who connected the suspect to the house where the female Chinese ladies were murdered has been arrested and is now in police custody.
Police say that relatives of the two women that were brutally murdered arrived in Uganda and recorded statements with police investigators, something that gave more hints on how to identify the suspect.
After the murder, IGP Gen Kale Kayihura promised to work with the Chinese police to ensure the suspect is arrested.
