Two brothers of alleged killer Mathew Kanyamunyu may have tampered some of the evidence that might have been left behind in the search for justice for Kenneth Akena, detectives involved in the investigation believe.

Mr Moses Kanyamunyu and Mr Joseph Kanyamunyu a renowned public relations and advertising honcho were on Thursday arrested to aid the police in the search for the killer weapon.

The arrests come just 24 hours the High Court since granted police an order authorizing them to get phone printouts to be used in the investigations.

Police records show Mr Joseph Kanyamunyu is being detained at Kira Road Police Station.

Mr Moses Kanyamunyu is being held at the Special Investigations Unit in Kireka Police spokesperson Andrew Kaweesi confirmed.

A source tells TheUgandan that that investigators have found out that it seems after the incident, the brothers immediately rushed to the scene of crime on Saturday after receiving the call from the suspect.
