(PHOTOS) Youthful Makidadi hosts Mufti in Butogota

The Mufti of Uganda Sheikh Shaban Mubajje has urged Muslim youth in the country to be at the forefront of promoting unity among themselves and people of different religious affiliation in order to prosper.

Sheikh Mubajje made the remarks on Friday evening when he was hosted for dinner by the family of Mr. Kwizera Makidadi of Butogota Town council in Kanungu district.

Kwizera Makidadi is the treasurer of Butogota Mosque and Mubajje helped raise over Shs. 10 million in both cash and pledges for its completion. Mubajje hailed Makidadi whom he described as an exemplary youth who is nurturing others given the role he is playing in the Muslim leadership in Butogota.

“It means a lot hosting the mufti in my house, receiving blessings, sharing a meal with him,” Makidadi said works with Kayonza Growers Tea factory as the Standards Officer. “There is no better memory since it is my first time see the holy mufti physically and to shake hands with him.”

He said that when youth are united and work closely with others in different religions, they can make a lasting impression in the society they live in.

Mubajje was joined by other dignitaries for the dinner at the Kwizera home and later blessed his family members as its a norm in the Islamic religion.

“I will never forget that day. At my home, he thanked me for hard working and offering to feed him and my Muslim brothers who escorted him. He blessed my family, thanked my dad Sulait Mugaye for educating his children before giving us duwa.”
