Christmas came early for a number of non-teaching staff at Jinja road based Victoria University when one of the students made a generous donation.
The unidentified female student spent almost half a million shillings to buy essential stuff like sugar, soap, rice and vaseline for the none teaching staff including security guards, cleaners, and cooks that serve the University wholeheartedly.
They were excited and vowed to pray for her. “I don’t know of any greater return that you’ll see for society’s benefits than helping those who need help,” one of the recipients said.
Ms. Charity Byarugaba, Victoria University’s Marketing Manager delivered the gifts on behalf of the student who preferred to stay anonymous.
“As an institution that prioritises student welfare, we champion the fundamental exposition that education promotes active participants in the transformation of societies,” said Ms. Byarugaba.
