The Parliament of Uganda will on Friday hold a special sitting on Friday to honour the late Moroto District Woman Member of Parliament, Logiel Annie who was the Vice Chairperson of the Parliamentary Health Committee before she passed on.
The fallen legislator’s body arrives in the country tomorrow according to Parliament Director of Communication Chris Obore.
Details on the special session at Parliament and funeral arrangements, he says, will be announced in due course.
Annie Logiel was battling a brain tumor and died last week from Denmark where she was receiving treatment from.
Ms Logiel was a first-time legislator, having won the February 2016 elections.
