Second-tier side Paidha Black Angels (PBA) will pass on the chance to play in next season’s 2018 Caf Confederation Cup.

Their slot gotten after a Uganda Cup finals appearance against KCCA last year will now be taken on by semifinalists Express FC.

It is believed the decision was reached by football governing body Fufa after the poor Weste Nile club failed to to meet requirements that include a security fee” of $10,000 while Express whose chairperson Florence Nakiwala, also a federation vice president partially paid  within 24 hours of being notified. A balance on the $10,000 is expected to be paid no later than November 10.

Paidha’s chairman Robert Jakony revealed to a local on Sunday that they had failed to raise the money and meet the deadline of October 15 set by Fufa.

KCCA FC will play in the 2018 Caf Champions League.
