Dear Fufa delagates
Tomorrow Saturday 22nd October 2016 is an important day on the Fufa Calendar as delegates converge in the Buganda region town of Luweero to discuss issues related to football development in this country and it happens once a year.
Therefore all roads will lead to Nimrod Hotel for this occasion, eyes will be glued on you to see and bear witness on how you deliberate upon the key issues pertained to development of the game, ears will be on the ground to hear what transpires throughout the duration of the assembly as hands will be available to applaud you for any meaningful discussions so will be the mouths to criticize the moment you go wrong.
During the past 2 weeks, the incumbent has been moving to all regions blowing his own trumpet to be a sole candidate in next year’s Presidential elections which is not a crime but in a bid to lure you to support his proposal come tomorrow, varying incentives in form of cash exchanged hands abusing the ethics and integrity of the game in that process.
The money each one of you pocketed, ranged from 200000/= to 500000/= shillings depending on your loyalty towards the current administration.
There is nothing i can do other than advising but the onus is now on you to endorse or reject the proposal.
Further to that, this evening will see each of you receive a suit to put on tomorrow and maybe future Fufa functions, not bad a gesture but it’s a deliberate plot to soften your minds and corrupt your conscious in endorsing the incumbent’s wishful interests.
Allowances & bonuses to our Cranes heroes remain unpaid up to date but monies which must have been used to offset some, are being channeled to political baits, I beg of you please be very cautious in your deliberations as the whole country is watching you.
As you head to the assembly, be mindful that some of the Fourth division teams (DFA Leagues) have been deliberately locked out of the registration process under the disguise of deadlines, in that regard, since you are the voice of the voiceless Ugandans at the grassroots, its within your powers to fight for those innocent teams not forgetting they voted you to that position.
Most of the teams locked out, were targeted due to their attachments with some of you delegates the Federation regard as rebels & saboteurs therefore those teams are indirectly suffering because of you.
History will charge all of you if nothing is discussed to help those district football association teams or you will always be referred to if you stand up and be counted.
The ball is in your courts to save these district teams or to further compound their misery and or frustrations.
Wishing you the best of deliberations
