UGANDA PREMIER LEAGUE

Tuesday, 12th September – Greenlight STADIUM

Onduparaka vs. Proline

Following months of speculation surrounding their shirt sponsorship Onduparaka Football Club have announced that they will continue their partnership with Betway Uganda.

The British betting company, the club’s official sponsor since entering the Uganda Premier League, will be the main sponsor and will reside front and centre on the strips and training kits.

Discussing the Shs.600 million extension to the deal, Betway country manager, Anton Opperman, said: “We are impressed by the vibrant growth of the club. There is also a goal to expose players to international platforms.”

He added: “We thank the fans, all stake holders – UPL, FUFA, Ministry of Education and Sports, Members of Parliament and the media.”

The cheque was presented to the newly elected club skipper Rashid Toha in company of teammate Muhammad Shaban and other club officials.

“We are proud of ourselves and Betway.” said legislator Bernard Atiku, also the club patron, at a function held at Kampala’s Hotel Africana.

The Shs.600M sponsorship package will cover the remuneration of players, allowances, transport, equipment (training and match day kits) as well as any other necessities at the club.
Betway announced a Shs.600M package for the Arua based Uganda Premier League side for the upcoming season, 2017-18.
