The Old Budonians Club has announced the launch of a cutting-edge online business directory that will take place at the club’s Annual General Meeting and the Budofest 2017 on 29th April 2017.
The business directory is a techno-social and economic initiative of the Old Budonians Club which is the alumnae association of Budo Junior School and Kings College Budo. It is being developed by old budonians for the benefit of its members and the wider community.
The purpose of the directory is to create a network of participating vendors and suppliers connected to a targeted pool of top grade and discerning consumers within the Budonian fraternity and wider community in general.
Over the years, Budo Junior School and Kings College Budo like many other schools have produced a sizable crop of of eminent and illustrious citizens of Uganda, and in the process a pool of top grade, discerning and influential consumers. The directory will offer an excellent opportunity for any organisation, individual, business or brand to target and reach out to this niche in the market, economy and community.
The directory will be available on a Web based portal and via a smartphone app. Users will be able to navigate, search and interrogate supplier information in the directory. It is also planned to have a ‘Job Centre’ facility in due course to bring together job seekers and potential employers.
The potential and capabilities of the directory will be demonstrated at its launch, which is due on Saturday 29th April 2017 at the Lugogo Cricket Oval during the ‘Budofest’ social event organised by the Old Budonians Club.
