Ruling party National Resistance Movement’s powerful Secretary General Hon Justine Kasule Lumumba has this Monday afternoon got involved in a road accident that saw one female pedestrian dead around Kajjansi along Entebbe road, the party’s communication officer, Rogers Mulindwa has said.
The lady, whose identity has not yet been established has been reported dead.
Mulindwa however claimed that the ‘female pedestrian reluctantly rammed into her official car. The deceased was talking on phone as she crossed the road’, statements that could not be independently verified by TheUgandan. Uganda Police was yet to come out with a statement by presstime.
“I regret any inconveniences caused but our condolences once again to the deceased’s family,” Mulindwa said. The SG’s car got front damages but she escaped with no visible injuries.
Reckless?
In February 2016, ne of the cars in the convoy escorting Lumumba was involved in a terrible accident after hitting a motorcycle in Kitodha Bugiri.
The car crashed and burst into flames after losing control and overturning several times after knocking the Motorcycle which was also on the same road.
