Police have confirmed another of the gruesome spate of killings that have rocked Wakiso District bringing the number to at least 21 women have been found dumped since May.

Police spokesman, Mr Asan Kasingye told TheUgandan that they on Tuesday discovered a body dumped at Nkumba-Bufulu, near Nkumba University.

Police identified the deceased as Harriet Nalongo, a 38-year-old mother of two, is said to have disappeared last Wednesday after leaving work at about 4pm. She was a resident of Kabale A, Katabi Town Council.

Her body was on Tuesday morning found at a dumping site, wrapped in polythene bags during a search by residents and police.

Nalongo’s body was swollen with a leg and an arm missing and has been taken to Mulago Referral hospital for postmortem.

The minister of Internal Affairs, Gen Jeje Odongo, blamed the “Illuminati”, a sinister secret society that is a favourite of conspiracy theorists the world over.

Kampala Metropolitan South Police Commander Siraje Bakaleke has urged residents to move in groups to avoid being targeted by the killers.
