NKOYOYO SURGERY: Museveni contributes Shs80 million

President Museveni has made a contribution of $23,000 (2,407,739) towards meeting the medical bills of Archbishop Livingstone Mpalanyi Nkoyoyo who is in a UK hospital.

This was announced by Senior Presidential Press Secretary Don Wanyama via his online platforms.

Mr Wanyama also revealed that “the president wishes the retired prelate, who’s hospitalised in London, a quick recovery.”

Earlier this week, the Arch Bishop of the Church of Uganda Stanley Ntagali said that he had informed the state about Nkoyoyo’s medical bills.

The Shs80million from the president follows another Shs20 million that had been collected by the Kampala Diocese.

Bishop Nkoyooyo is due for a lung operation in a private hospital in Kensington, Central London yet his family members have failed to raise about £60,000 pounds (about Shs265.2m) to cater for his hospital bills.

For help well-wishers are sending money in Halifax Bank on account number 002780 sort code 111468 in the names of Isaac Nkoyooyo and on GoFundMe link.
