Nigerians arrested at Entebbe smuggling drugs worth Shs2.6 billion

Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson Emirian Kayima has revealed that A mother and her daughter have been arrested at Entebbe Int. airport as they tried to smuggle drugs worth Shs1.365billion each destined for to Nigeria through Ethiopia.

Anugo Agness Ogwal 76 and her daughter Anugo Gloria 35 both of Nigerian descent have been arrested at Entebbe Int. airport as they tried to smuggle Heroin of 10 kilograms.

The two suspects were moving with four bags full of new clothings and the packed heroine was hidden under the bags’ underlining.

Police say that the mother-daughter duo claimed that they had come to Uganda for an introduction ceremony of their son who was introduced by a Ugandan wife girl.

“We are yet to verify this information. We are not sure whether the son who left Uganda before the two also trafficked drugs,” Kayima said.
