KCCA has handed over newly constructed infrastructure worth Sh7 billion to Makerere University.
The infrastructure includes newly constructed roads, renovated buildings, a complete main gate and a three-storied administrative and classroom block at Makerere College School.
The KCCA Executive Director, Jennifer Musisi also handed over the newly constructed roads in Makerere University measuring 3.5-kilometers with inbuilt drainage and large car parks, paved walk-ways and street lighting and a perimeter wall running from Junju road to Sir Apollo Kaggwa junction.
In her speech, Musisi appealed to the members of the public to unite towards supporting infrastructure that is meant for the common good.
She said the Makerere University infrastructure project was an example of unity between KCCA and the university management.
The works were implemented under the Kampala Institutional and Infrastructure Development Project with funding from government and World Bank.
