Wakiso RDC Ian Kyeyune who grabbed 42 acres of district land “because president Museveni had taken long to employ him, ” Has been fired by the Office of the President in a mini reshuffle. He will be replaced by Major David Matovu.

The reshuffle also saw Buikwe District RDC  Nassar Munuulo moved to Mukono and replaced by Ntungamo’s Fred Bamwine.

Kyeyune’s troubles started in June when the Justice Bamugemereire Commission on land spent over three hours questioning the politician a city businessman, Huruna Semakula, for masterminding the grabbing of over 600 acres of Nonve forest  in Buwanuka Parish, Kakiri Sub-county in Wakiso District.

Kyeyune appeared before the Commission and admitted that he had received the 41 acres as a gift from Semukula whom he referred to as his uncle. The Commission has, however, discovered that the two are not related.

He has since fallen out of favour with the powers that be.
