Former intelligence operative Charles Rwomushana believes deprived Ugandans were right to celebrate the false rumour of the death of President Museveni’s daughter, Patience Museveni Rwabwogo.
We reported this past week that the Rwabogo family had reacted to the allegation that Patience had passed on in a Germany hospital on Monday night when an asylum seeker ploughed a lorry into crowds of revelers.
The message was published in a Christmas day Facebook missive directed to President Museveni’s son-in-law Odrek Rwabwogo, who Rwomushana studied with at Makerere University besides helping in the organisation of the Makerere University Needy Students’ Association, a group that called for the uplifting of the disadvantaged students at the university.
“Odrek, just know that when I save some money to pay for Mass at Christ the King that you be deleted from the book of the living, there I’m just being linient. Those that celebrated the rumor excised maximum restrain. I missed out in the celebration because of our rich history,” Rwomushana wrote.
Rwomushanaa former Constituent Assembly (CA) member for Rujumbura County in Rukungiri District has for years now been advocating for social Justice in Uganda- the equitable and not necessarily equal distribution of wealth, opportunities, and privileges within a society is such an important pillar for governments and societies; without which even the most well-meaning leaders have gone down badly.
