Drama has ensured outside Jinja High Court gate as the Rwenzururu king, Charles Wesley Mumbere was being re-arrested, hours after a court released him on bail

It is unclear why the police have detained him again.   The embattled king protested tellingarea Deputy RPC Onesmus Mwesigwa that; ‘you should at least come with an arrest warrant’.

Mumbere pulled from his brother Christopher Mbalibulha Kibanzaga, the current MP for Bughendera and bundled on a waiting police van and was driven to unknown location but unverified reports say that he was minutes later released.

Mumbere is not allowed return to his Rwenzururu Kingdom, and cannot go abroad, pending the outcome of his trial.

The king was arrested after clashes between royal guards and security forces left more than 60 people dead.

The authorities accuse of him of trying to stage a rebellion to secede from Uganda.
