Ndawula repeatedly defiled his nine-year old daughter and two other girls under his charge
A Mukono court has slapped a 34-year-old man, Mr. Moses Ndawula, with a 30-year jail sentence for sexually abusing his nine-year-old daughter and two other minors.
The court heard that the accused was guilty of repeatedly defiling another girls aged between nine and ten year all under his care, Daily Monitor reports.
The prosecution informed the court that Mr. Ndawula used to have sex with them in turns almost every night between 2010 and 2011 but one day, his land lady, Ms Victoria Namaganda heard one of the girls crying and when she inquired what the problem was, the girl confided in her their ordeal.
In turn, the land lady reported the matter to Mukono police station leading to Ndawula’s arrest and prosecution.
The court presided over by Justice Margaret Mutonyi, sent the convict back straight to jail for 30 years imprisonment on each and every count with the period spent on remand inclusive.
The man, who has been on trial for awhile now, was convicted of aggravated defilement and incest, punishable offences that attract up to the maximum punishment of death by hanging for the last four years.
Delivering her judgment, Justice Mutonyi stated that the acts were pathetic cases of sexual act between father and daughters, adding that it was not just only a case of molestation.
“His conduct was shockingly brutal and cruel, it is exceptionally displeasing and monstrous, and it’s an abomination among the human race. With all the women around Kauga and Mukono, he decided to subject the little victims to horror every night….” said justice Mutonyi.
Mr. Ndawula is said to have turned the three girls into his wives whom he would sexually abuse every night and that his act was a disgrace to humanity.
In mitigation the accused asked the court to be lenient on him saying he is a sole bread winner, but the court said the sentence was commensurate to the offence committed.
