Mucureezi: We have done our homework

The Bright Stars vs. KCCA league match at Mwererwe this Tuesday afternoon will have a lot of aspects to offer

KCCA FC prepare to take on Bright Stars, forward Paul Mucereezi has said that Kasasiro Boys have studied their opponents and that they are also hoping to win some silverware this season.

On Tuesday afternoon, the defending champions make a short trip to Mawerere outside Kampala to meet Fred Kajoba’s Stars side in the Uganda Premier League and Mucureezi has said that Mike Mutebi and his technical staff have identified the various aspects of their opponents’ game, which they are working on in order to get the win.

“We have done our homework now on Bright Stars,” Mucureezi explained. We know what we are supposed to do for us to come back with a positive result from this encounter.”

Mucureezi went on to say how important it will be for the team to convert their chances, which he believes would be just the first step in their path to silverware this season.

A win against Stars will give KCCA a chance to go six points clear at the top of the table because second placed Vipers, three points adrift, are not in action until Friday.

“We have to make sure we score goals and win the match,” he continued. “If we can work on creating more scoring chances and convert then then we can win the game. Our aim is to finish this season with silverware so the three points taken from Bright Stars matter alot,” the former Mutundwe Lions forward observed.

The match will act as a precursor to the ‘Kampala derby’ between KCCA and Villa (on November 1 at Lugogo).
