“I want to get a manager who will help me make it to the World Championship,” said Cheptoch who won the men’s 42km race with a time of 02:19:13 during the MTN Marathon at Kololo Airstrip and a cash prize of Shs 14m.

“Am not surprised I won because I have been training hard. Honestly this is my first time to win a marathon and am confident if I get a good manager, he will secure for me bigger marathons outside the country,” he added.
