Lugogo-based Kampala Capital City Authority FC has tapped MTN Uganda as its first official telecommunications partner.
The new multi-year accord worth Shs1.2billion with Shs430M released annually will help expand MTN’s product scope in Uganda and globally as the football club’s goes for its second straight year of continental football.
The Uganda Cup and Azam Uganda Premier League champions also have multibillion deals with Prime Media, StarTimes and Britam Insurance.
“MTN is an avid supporter of sports in Uganda. It is well documented that we view sports as a national unifying factor evidenced in the shared passion for the game, the zeal, the edginess, the frustration at missed goals and opportunities and the resultant celebration of goals scored by both the fans and players alike,” said MTN Uganda CEO Wim at the announcement this morning.
