In a rather erratic way, Aruu County Member of Parliament Odonga Otto has sworn to rally the family of Kenneth Watmon Akena and exhume his body if Police don’t convict his alleged killer, city businessman Mathew Kanyamunyu.
We wouldn’t expect any family member of the deceased community development officer, who was last Saturday evening shot at Game Store parking lot to ring endorsement, but this is something else.
Odonga Otto said: ‘If the investigations don’t come out well, we shall exhume Akena’s body and take it to Mathew Kanyamunyu’s home.’
He added: ‘Can the whole world be told where is the gun is? Police should come out clean and fast. All we want is justice.’
But he has not offered few details on his plans.
Police did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the statements from the outspoken legislator.
Akena, a child protection specialist based in Kasese District, was shot in the stomach at around 8pm on Saturday and later succumbed to the bullet wounds at Novik hospital.
