In a country where deaths of a number of prominent personalities are believed to have been masterminded by their political opponents, the passing away of Moroto District Woman MP Hon. Anna Logiel is not going to be taken lightly.
Parliament’s Communications Director Chris Obore, Hon. Logiel who is part of the ruling National Resistance Movement party had gone to Denmark a few days ago until this morning when her death was pronounced by the family.
She had tumor on the brain and went to Denmark for a surgery but did not make it according to a family source.
Obore said, “Parliament extends condolences to the bereaved. Funeral details will be announced later.”
Ms. Logiel, a first-time legislator, having won the February 2016 elections. was the Vice Chairperson for the Parliamentary Health Committee.
