The World Athletic Championships in London today start with superstar Mo Farah leading creme de la creme of the 25 lap race.
Uganda’s Joshua Cheptegei who disappointed at the Kampala IAAF World Cross-country, teammates Timothy Toroitich and Moses Kurong will look to unsettle Mo Farah or Kenyans Geoffrey Kamworro and Bedan Karokiin tonight’s 10,000 meter final.
“Yes he can,” Uganda coach Benjamin Longoris said about Cheptegei beating Farah, Britain’s most successful athlete of the modern era who tonight goes into his last track race at a major championship.
Alex Chesakit, Winnie Nanyondo and Dorcus Ajok were yet to receive British visas by Thursday evening though Uganda Athletics Federation administrator TimothyMasaba vows they had applied within the stipulated time.
