Ministry of health offices now a crime scene – Police

The Uganda Police Force has Sunday declared Ministry of Health Offices at Wandegeya in Kampala a crime scene.

In a brief statement from Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, Emilian Kayima, seen by TheUgandan, Police said the headquarters were now considered a crime scene.

“… an assortment of files and other items destroyed. It is considered a crime scene. Cause of fire to be established and actual level of damage. All info will be given when recieved from the authorities and experts handling the situation,” part of the Police statement read.

“All info will be given when received from the authorities and experts handling the situation,” the statement added.

The fire started from the third floor at about 2:30pm and affected two other offices and Mr Kayima said the fire started from a kitchen area on the last floor.
