In a move to solve Uganda’s unemployment crisis, Middle East Consultants a labour export company has unveiled its strategic plan that will see over 3000 youth get employed in the middle east countries in 2017 with 380 of them already covered.
This was revealed by Godwin Mugyenyi the company’s Executive Director on Thursday at flagging off ceremony of a contingent of 80 youth to Qatar as security personnel.
He said that they look forward to opening new markets especially in Malaysia in factory and hospitality sectors which are highly paying.
Hon Abdul Naduli, Minister without Portfolio in charge of mobilization who presided over the flagging off ceremony advised the youth to invest the money they obtain from working abroad into productive ventures that will see them realize their dreams of being rich people.
“Avoid sending money to unscrupulous people to invest for you. Plan well on what you want to invest in and save your money so that when you return, you invest productively in ventures like maize milling, agriculture and so much more,” Hon. Naduli told the youth.
He advised them to always respect the culture of the countries they go to and to always raise the Uganda flag high.
“When you behave and work hard, we shall be called upon to send more labour but if you disrespect the Arab culture and misbehave, you will be returned here not only as an embarrassment to yourselves but to Uganda at large.”
In collaboration with Qatar Security Services, the 80 youth flagged off today will start highly-paying security jobs after a short training stint.
Middle East Consultants Ltd has thus called upon the government to sign a business agreement with Qatar Security Services to enable smooth penetration in the labour market in Qatar.
